The Story of CMW General Contractors
CMW was founded in 1999 by Jimmy Stewart of Spring Branch, Texas, with a simple belief: clients deserve to work directly with the person doing the work — not a salesperson who disappears after the contract is signed.
More than 25 years later, that hasn’t changed. Jimmy and his son, Chandler, personally oversee every project, from custom homes to renovations across the Hill Country. When you call CMW, you reach people who know your project, know your property, and take your investment personally.
Much of our business comes from repeat customers and referrals — a reflection of the relationships we build along the way. And when Jimmy isn’t building homes, he’s enjoying time with his wife, Ginny, and their five dogs.

Jimmy has spent over 25 years building custom homes and large-scale remodels across the Hill Country. He brings a steady, hands-on approach to every job site and places the highest value on client trust. Rooted in the same community he calls home, his focus stays simple: deliver quality work and an honest experience, start to finish.

Chandler grew up in the Hill Country and has been around construction his entire life, working alongside his father since a young age. He’s developed a strong handle of the building process and is known for his calm, steady presence and never-give-up mindset. Outside of work, he enjoys fishing, the outdoors, and time with his family.
